k.d. lang - Constant Craving (Video)

K D Lang - Constant Craving... Well, now. After yesterday, is the "craving" done? No, never. As we all know, craving is constant and never ending and has always been... as the constant craving to hear this song is... kd lang is just terrific and that's a fact Jack. :)

Before You Go - OK Sweetheart

OK Sweetheart - Before You Go... What everyone says: "Before you go, please straighten up the mess you have made." Now, who would you MOST like to say that to? Think about it while to totally enjoy this beautiful piece ot song...

Lenka - Everything At Once

Lena - Everything At Once... I guess that SCOTUS has thrown everything at once at us the last few days... what to do about it? I dunno... fly the flag upside down? Anyway, the only way to get beyond it is to listen to songs like this one, (thankfully).

Van Morrison - Wild Night (1971)

Van Morrison - Wild Night... in the days of this song, it meant (more of less) parking outside A&W Root Beer and showing off our engines and looking at the pretty girls... Now? Well, sad to say, meanness rules the world except for the few seconds we can listen to songs like this one and remember being "good boys"...

Shirley Bassey - For The Love Of Him

Bobbi Martin For The Love Of Him

Bobbi Martin - For The Love Of Him... well, who would sing this dong today? Nancy Pelossi? Hillary Clinton? Jane Fonda? Who? Well, maybe Sarah Palin? No, probably not even her or any other woman... times have changed...

R.E.M. - It's The End Of The World

R.E.M. - It's The End Of The World As We Know It... after yesterday and today and recent history, well, this song is appropriate... so, let's do a Tomorrow Song... :)

Sugarloaf - Green Eyed Lady

Sugarloaf - Green-Eyed Lady... how do we get music like this again? LSD? No, but how? Not in my lifetime, sadly...

The Air That I Breath - The Hollies

The Hollies - The Air That I Breathe... after SCOTUS today and the future, air is about all we will have left... wish the Hollies were forever young and making music today...

Taya Kyle on the book AMERICAN GUN by Chris Kyle (author of American Sni...

Having read "American Sniper" by Chris Kyle some weeks ago, I was curious about his other book, "American Gun", got it, and just finished it, too.

I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed both books. Being something of an introverted intellectual follower who COULD have been macho (:-)), it was great riading the words of a man who actually succeeded at overcoming the chickification of men in America, Europe, and other places. Thank Goodness for Texas and Alaska...yes, Sarah Palin, you, too, are in Chris' fellowship.

Still, there is a whole lot of killing going on in both books. It is nice to see it written out in words. We all know that killing goes on all the time all over the world and has been going on throughout all of history.

The sad part is that no one and nothing can stop it.

"Rocket Men"

Just finished "Rocket Men" by Craig Nelson and I give it 5 stars, 10 of 10, gold medal, whatever... :) Those of us of the Apollo generation are mostly gone forever or "leaving soon" and we who are left wonder what comes after now and wish we could be here for it...

What a Wonderful World ~ Louis Armstrong [HD]

Louis Armstrong - What A Wonderful World... this was one of Don Imus' good-bye songs during his last week on "Imus In The Morning" on the Fox Business channel... he will still be on radio, but we will miss him on tv... one can HOPE that he is not in the final stages of you-know-what... hopefully, he is just devoting everything to his family and friends and happiness...

Miss The Mississippi And You by Jimmie Rodgers (1932)

Jimmie Rodgers - Miss The Mississippi And You... yeah, that's me missing the South, North Mississippi, West Tennessee, the Hatchie River Bottoms, and the wonderful farm that used to be out on Cotton Grove Road... never to see any of it again...
