The Washington Redsking name...

Much pressure is being brought to bear against the owner of the Washington Redskins football team. The word 'redskins' in the name has been deemed to be offensive to the politically correct practitioners of censorship.

Though the owner is resisting such a thing, perhaps a solution lies in renaming the team. In such a case, the owner must ask himself, "What name would be best?"

The leading newspaper in San Francisco has made an editorial decision to never again use the name "Redskins" when referring to the Washington football team. No one knows what they will use instead.

Well, what does "49ers" mean? Is that offensive to anyone? For a moment, let's assume that it is VERY offensive to some group.

So, what name for the San Francisco football team?
